There's Nelson; On the Bottom Row

Well, not quite the bottom. Here is a picture of one of class of '91's sixth grade class. Mr. Albers was his name. His wife taught as well, but I was always hot for Ms. Kunze, the science teacher. Spit balls on her ceiling in the back corner. Some of the characters seen in this picture; Eric Hall, Michelle Morris, Jody Balasi, Michelle Pontious, James Wilder (my fellow breakdancing partner). Does anybody out there remember anyone else here in this picture. I am the guy in the back row with hair cut that clearly was not paid for.

Have a great day all!

OMG, this is too funny, I'm waiting for my mom to send mine, I have a few of them here that I have to scan and post. The girl on the right handside of Mr. Albers is Heather Corry, Maria Alverez is in this picture also next to Armando, and I can't seem to remember the rest. I had Ms. Kunze, and I think David Juico, David Newman, James Mills, Christine Degano were in my class...

Wow, I'm really old because I had Mr. Albers for Social Studies '80-'81! But he looks exactly the same.

Okay let's see if I can remember some of these people:

Top row (as best as I can remember): Michelle Armenta, Marc Ludlow, Eric Hall, Maria Alvarez, Armando, ____ McIntyre, Andrea Hurlen, Jeb Bair

Second row: Jodi Balasi, David Beaver, can't remember the next 2 girls, James Wilder, Michelle Morris, Michelle Pontious

Third Row: I can't remember anybody else other than Heather Corrie and Melchor (I can't remember his last name)

Sixth grade "Oh Yeah"s...

I remember Mr. Stremler used to always point to the board with his middle finger.

Ms. Kunze and her specimen wall.
Ms. Kunze and her film Fridays.

Remember how every other Friday they would serve Roast Beef and Gravy in the Sullivans' cafeteria?

Remember in the Sullivan's playground there were those three...what do you call them things...tubes? One was blue, one was red and one was green (I think?) What the hell were those things and why were they really in that playground?

Remember in culture class with (here's a name!) Ms. Tomimatsu how she taught us to do ikebana flower arranging?

Better yet...remember how we did that art project with the silk cocoons?

One thing I hated was when the school gym was loaded with the gymnastic equipment and (here's another name) Ms. Peller had us pick equipment to do a routine on.

And my non-athletic ass hated that physical fitness test with the grabbing of those stupid chalkboard erasers!

Y'all remember playing four-square when we couldn't have recess at the playground and had recess in front of that H-building?

Or Ms. Park the music teacher and that damned harp she used to play and how she smelled like she'd just drank a fourth of whiskey or something?

Ok...let me think here. The art teacher was Mr. Andoh. Ms. Tomimatsu was one. I don't remember his name. Thought it began with a W.

It was Mr. Hayakawa.

You guys remember playing with those dumb ass puppets during music day at sullivans?

I do remember that silk cocoon project in Japanese culture class. I was just thinking about it the other day.

I remember being in Ms. Soltes' math class and her telling me that she'd be moving me to Ms. Osborne's (lesbian lover of Ms. Stone) class. When I got to Ms. Osborne's class, I realized it was the "stupid kids" math class. I was PISSED! I hate long division till this day...

Do you guys remember that big ass checker board at the Sullivan's library? And the pieces were made out of tuna cans?

Ah, ha, ha.....good times, good times.

Ok, my turn. I'm a Sullivan's "oldie" who went to both the old school (where the Navy Lodge is now) and the new school. I had Mr. Stremler for 4th, Mr. Waterstreet for 5th and Mr. Stremler again for 6th. In those days, the cafeteria was open, but not fully-functioning so everyone had to bring home lunches or go home to eat. And was it just me or did the grandfather clock sounding bell we had irritate you too? In 6th grade science class with Ms. Kunze, she caught me with my Slam Book and sent me to the office; I did ONE WEEK of detention in the office, right outside the Principal's door! Those were the days...
