Yokoso! Japan

Arrived at the furusato, back in Kamakura where I lived when I was stationed on a certain ship in Yokosuka ages ago (the ship has since been decomissioned and sold for scrap, that's how old I've become). Don't remember the flight being so damn long, but that's probably the age speaking as well.

Started my visit correctly with some yakitori and Kirin beer. Plan on going to see the relatives in Nagano through the end of the week, back to Kamakura for the weekend before I return to Washington DC on Monday. Also planning on eating ravenously to get my fill of Japanese food before I return back to the land of Whoppers, Big Macs, deep dish pizza, and Chick-Fil-A. Of course, I won't complain about a trip out to Ben's Chili Bowl in DC, but nothing beats "comfort food" from home.

Hey Tom! Great to hear you're having a good time back home.

It would be nice to see the pictures of the food (^o^), Yoko, and of course you and your family. Especially since you're a photographer! LOL!
