(ugh, still jetlagged...) this past weekend my brother and i had the pleasure of visiting mrs tanaka at her place in yokohama. she's recovering from cancer surgery, but otherwise appears to be doing well. we spent time reminiscing about the old days and what's been going on since in our lives. she also wanted me to let you guys on the blog know how she's doing. (btw, my hair doesn't always look like this, it was so hot and humid in japan and it was at the end of my trip that i stopped caring.)

chris, i think the last time you saw me i had a grown-out top gun crewcut (remember that?). my hairstyle before the crewcut was a grown-out mullet. you shouldve seen the hairstyles since -- i've even had shoulder length for a while!
