Remember when...

Whenever we had half days at school, we used to go to Shakeys for their 500 yen all you can eat pizza & potatoes. Where else could you find pizza topped with octopus & corn?

Or what about the Yakitori stand? 50 yen for a stick of chicken, pork, beef or liver and they would grill it on the little hibachi grill and dip them in a big “vat” of Yakitori sauce. I could just stand there all day!

Or what about the little store that had a window where you can watch them make Ohbanyaki. Yum!

Or what about getting fried rice and tacos at the Teen Club for like $1.10 a plate! The infamous Teen Club dances.

Thew Gym

Or what about watching movies at the Benny Decker Theater for $1.35 where they always played the National Anthem before each movie.

Or what about when the Class of 1988 Juniors beat the Class of 1987 Seniors in all Spirit competitions! Spirit week consisted of Red & White Day, Punk Rock Day, Nerd Day, Hippie Day, Pajama Day

Or what about Spanish class when you walked into class and saw that all the windows were darkened, you knew it was time to watch slides of Seniorita Haseley’s trip to some Latin country. Any one remember her and the “burro”?

Or what about Mrs. Yamamoto and her over head slides? Seeing her solve math problems on that thing gave me a headaches.

Snack Break
Ms. Sattre's donuts (which consisted of Pillsbury biscuit and using a thimble to make the whole , frying it up and rolling it in sugar).
Yo-Hi Day....Denwa pass....(I can't remember other games)
The Bowling Alley...canadian burgers
Katsu Burgers from the O Club. I would say Taksan sauce to get more sauce on the katsu.

Hayaku Inn & taco pie

Remember when Xevious and Pac Land were the best table top games? And if you wanted to play next you'd have to line up your quarters next to the quarter slot? Or when you'd walk into the gameroom and you see someone you know is really good at the game, and he or she has like 10 million extra guys......then you knew you'd be waiting FOREVER to play.
