Brandon Cruz C/O 89

Hello everyone! Finding this Blog has brought back so much good memories of my brief stay in Yokosuka! I hope to hear from anybody I used to know from the good ol days! Here's a picture of myself and my wife "goofing off" down in LA. I will make it a point to attend the next YoHi reunion; thanks again to all the Blog moderators for granting me access to this awesome blog! If anybody is near the Bay Area drop me an email; so we can meet somewhere and reminisce of the good times back in Japan!

Looking for old pics...

Hi all! So does anyone have any old class pictures from Sullivans Elementary School that they can post? circa 1980-1986. I know there are a few posted on the blog already.

Would love to see what's out there... besides I need a good laugh. =)
Thanks!

GOT IT!

OK... so Nile C. Kinnick is ADDED! YEA! Here's what you have to do (if you have Facebook):
List your school in the Education section of your profile which will allow users to search for you by your high school information. To do this, please click on the "edit" link next to Profile and then click the "Education" tab on the following page.
I've done the test and got it to work. I'm the first one... YEA! If you can see my profile (c/o 1990) then I guess it works.

ATTENTION FACEBOOKERS!

Hey everyone! Since no one has added anything since April, here's a new post. I've tried several times to see if our high school was included on Facebook... it hasn't. SOOOOOO, I took the initiative and sent something in to their administration to add it! :-) Give it a couple of days and you could add that group/school to your facebook! It'll be under: Nile C. Kinnick High School.
Anyway... hope to see you around!

Yokosuka Pictures

Hi All!

My brother Froy and I were fortunate enough to accompany my husband back to Yokosuka this spring. It has changed so much. It's definitely not the same Yokosuka we remember. However it was great being back and reliving our childhood memories as we walked around the base.

Here are some pictures (I took tons of pictures but for now here are a few):

This was taken in front of NFCU facing McDonalds at Greenbay Park

The new KHS

There was a soccer game that day. It was against Misawa and they were fighting hard as KHS beat them the last time! KHS was in the lead when I took this picture...GO DEVILS!

Chapel of Hope - still there

The new gym - Purdy Gym that sits right in front of the Church

Remember Skateland? Well it's no longer Skateland (*o*)

L and Briggs Court

Jones Ave - this is where the Quiroz used to live, now it's towers and a parking structure.

51 - 61 Jones Ave - Where the Castillo's, Andalajao's, Malvasi's, Ellington's, Firme's and Tato's used to live

L Street - Sanban Tower

L Street heading towards 4th Street

L Street near Sanban Tower - Where Decely and Rochelle and the DeJesus lived

52 - 58 Gridley Lane - Where the Bauman's, Kruk's, Andrewski's lived

Inside Mikasa Ginza (it's look so old now)

The new shopping area - Daiei
