OMG Aya, I had Miss Kunze for 6th grade also...this is too funny! Didn't you like all her those specimens in her classroom? LOL! Ahh, the memories!
aya, this one you must've dug deep into the photo archives, huh? man, i haven't seen this picture in sooo long. i don't think i have this one so i'm going to print this one up, thanks!
check out the kung fu slippers on Richie Ramones.
sorry...and the pants on Gene Ordonez. They were the old breakdancing pants, that had the different color along the side. Probably purchased on a Korea trip. My mom was too frugal to get me those...so she made some.
hey, i had ms kunze for 6th grade too! i heard she' later worked for the bishop museum in hawaii.
do you guys remember all her long lectures that totally made you want to go to sleep?
Yeah I remembered her loooong lectures...oh my goodness. I remember her making us look at those specimens and passing them around in class...she really was proud of those things...
...and it was nice when she brought out the film projector because it was the opportunity to catch up on your sleep.
no, i dont remember... guess that answers it, eh? :) i do remember the kitty in the jar tho.
I don't remember the kitty in the jar! Ew! I wonder if she's still alive, I felt bad for her, everyone picked on her.
You know what's so funny? I took a parasitology class in college and we had to "raise" these tapeworms from egg to adult in rats and we had to see how many tapeworms survived. We kept them in a vial of formalin, and it reminded me of Ms. Kunze because I totally loved that I raised these tapeworms myself. I think I still have them somewhere. OK, I'm still a nerd.
I think I saw Ms. Kunze back in '99 when I was living in Hawaii. She looked really old (she was already old when I was in 6th grade!)
Yeah, I remember, Michelle. We sat up front, right next to Ms. Kunze's desk!!!
You know, Aya and Michelle, those films that we watched...weren't they about Walt Disney and the wildlife kingdom? Or was that some other class?
I totally remember the cat in the jar thing. I even heard about it before getting into 6th grade. I guess the reason I remember that is because it was so gross.
