I don't know who's house we were at, but all I know is that this was before our performance at the Hospital. Magarita, Des, Heather, Christine D., you guys are all in this one...come on class of 91 needs to step it up! Um, it's hard to tell who's in this picture. The girl in the yellow is Jodi Balasi, pink is me, blue is Nancy Malvasi, I think the girl in front of Nancy is Jodi's sister? And you can forget about me naming our partners, as sad as it is, I totally forgot who my partner was. I can't even tell from the pictures...sorry guys!

In that first photo, Claudette...I think that's Aurora Moya next to you - I think that's her name. I didn't really know her...just knew of her. It amazes me how some people just never change. Check you out Mabel!

Hey Claudette! What was the name of that dance in the second picture? Is that the dance that goes...heal toe, step step step, heal toe (other leg) step step step,... And taught by Rich's mom.
Could be even Cherry Villegas that taught it. Get confused now a days.

Yes, this is that one dance where we did heel toe, step step step..., and Virg, you would ask me what the name is...I don't remember any of the name of the dances I performed! I believe Cherry taught us this dance.
I believe Mabel is correct about the dance being Tiklos. I might be on the other side of that V-shape that got cut off...if this was the same year I performed...the first year I was in Fil-Am...'83 or '84. I remember that we had practice at some building near A-33. After the Villegas left, all Fil-Am practices were held at the Tower playrooms. Luisa, I don't know about that first picture. I don't remember being in a picture like that.
Virg, the first pic is another time, it was a girl only dance. We danced the Muslim dance and we had to perform at the Naval Hospital...but we also performed it at the Benny Decker. You're right when we did the Tiklos dance we had practice at a bldg near the A33 and at times we would practice at the Fleet Theater...after that, we basically did all our practices at the tower...good memory Virg!

You know what's cool about you guys with PI blood? You all stick together man!! You really do! And all the Fil-Am stuff you all did~you all had fun doing it and have these great memories to go with it. That's so cool! Black folks are tight but we didn't have stuff like that...they should have had something like Black-Am...hahahaha, no that don't sound right. Even the half Jap breeds didn't have anything like that! ANyways, it's not only through high school that you all have this friendship and I think thats like totally GREAT!!

Hi Claudette, thanks for posting these crazy pics! Got any more? By the way, that's Jennifer Lauzon standing in the back in the B&W photo next to Mabel and Christine Mojica. The photo was taken at our old place on Kimball St. Also, I think that is Jenny Concepcion in the front row, and other than the people already mentioned, I can't seem to remember the rest! Sorry, but there were so many dancers back then! In the other two pictures, I'm the one in the light pink dress with the blue sash...loved those costumes we wore! hahahaha!!
